The Exact Opposite of Wherever reveals an intimate and thoughtful view on the world that William Cooper-Mitchell inhabits. In contrast to much of his vibrant, colour works, this latest project pushes deeper into the grainy world of black and white abstract photography. The subtle relationship between each diptych reveals a wider conversation throughout the project, exploring the notions of negative space. These graphic and formalist renderings of reality capture intimate and minor details of both organic and manmade objects.
