We are on the look out for submissions for our exhibition at theprintspace in London

The PYLOT Magazine Open Call is open to all photographers working with analogue, and gives you the chance to be part of an exciting exhibition in the heart of London at theprintspace – and it’s completely free to enter!

Entries will have the chance to win prizes from Kodak Alaris, Labyrinth Photographic, Stack, Parallax Photographic Coop, theprintspacePhotoMeet and PYLOT Magazine.

The top eight successful submissions will be judged by The founders of PhotoMeet – Mimi Mollica and Frede Spencer, Cheryl Newman, and Max Barnett and Patricia Villirillo from PYLOT Magazine.

PYLOT’s open call follows the theme of our most recent release, “The Perspective Issue”. Photographers should submit bodies of work that are personal to the photographer and the people in their lives. Political and social views are becoming increasingly polarised and information sharing proliferates through news and social media outlets – what does this mean to you? This is the opportunity to provide your perspective, or to explore the perspectives of others, whom you may not always see eye to eye with.

The top eight submissions will be chosen to take part in the exhibition at theprintspace and three projects will be awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes.

Competition Guidelines:

  • The theme is “Perspective” – consider literal and figurative interpretations of this
  • Analogue images only – digital scanning of negatives is permitted
  • No beauty retouching (no removing spots/blemishes, no whitening teeth or brightening eyes, no slimming of figures/changing of body types)
  • Dust, scratch and colour edits are allowed
  • Minimum of 6 images per series
  • Consider the narrative and coherence of the series
  • Colour editing should be refined and consistent
